Summer isn’t over yet—in fact, we have all of August and the majority of September before the official first day of fall. And even though we might be looking ahead to fall fashion trends, that doesn’t mean we’ve strayed from bright, summery nail colors just yet.
“Late summer isn’t about a dramatic color shift; it’s more about a gradual transition,” says nail artist Maryna Slynko. “This time of year is all about balance, with soft pastels, warm corals, and bolder reds existing side-by-side as we ease into the fall color palette.” Celebrity nail artist Danny Tavarez agrees, calling this time of year a “last call” for highly saturated nail colors and playful designs. “People want to take advantage of bright colors, chrome finishes, and fun designs before transitioning into fall’s deeper tones,” he says.
